I am excited to announce my candidacy for State Representative for District 95! I am committed to serving our community with dedication, integrity, and a passion for representing the values and interests of our neighbors.
Joseph Freeman is a seasoned financial professional and community-minded leader with a career that bridges both public service and private sector success. With over a decade of experience as a Registered Investment Advisor, Joseph has built his reputation managing the financial futures of high-net-worth clients—those with $1 million or more in investable assets—by developing customized stock portfolios and retirement strategies tailored to each client’s goals and risk profile. His proven ability to deliver results, combined with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, has made him a trusted advisor to families, business owners, and retirees across Alabama and beyond.
Before entering the financial sector, Joseph began his career in law enforcement after completing Basic Law Enforcement Training in North Carolina. That early service instilled in him a lifelong respect for duty, accountability, and protecting the community—values that continue to guide his work today.
Professionally, Joseph has held leadership roles with some of the nation’s most respected financial institutions, including Fisher Investments, Edward Jones, PNC Bank, and AXA Advisors. As Regional Vice President of Sales at Fisher Investments, he oversaw $83 million in new account funding in 2024 alone, building relationships through proactive client engagement and sound investment strategy. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his ability to convert leads into lasting partnerships, manage branch operations, and mentor new advisors entering the industry.
Joseph’s academic journey reflects both breadth and determination. He attended the University of South Alabama, pursued law enforcement training in North Carolina, and later continued his studies at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama. His education and career path highlight his commitment to lifelong learning and adapting his skills to meet the needs of those he serves.
Rooted in Baldwin County values of hard work, family, and service, Joseph understands the challenges that everyday Alabamians face—from financial uncertainty to the need for safer communities and stronger local leadership. His combined background in law enforcement and financial advising uniquely positions him to bring a common-sense, accountability-driven approach to public office, where protecting taxpayers and supporting families will always come first.

Farmers are the backbone of our economy, the stewards of our land, and the foundation of our national food supply. I am committed to protecting their livelihoods, preserving their rights, and ensuring a secure and sustainable future for agriculture.
Central to this commitment is the protection of private property rights. Farmers must have the freedom to own, manage, and make decisions about their land without undue interference. Respecting these rights is essential to empowering farmers, promoting rural stability, and encouraging long-term investment in the land.

I stand firmly against the expansion of gambling in our state and nation. While often presented as a source of revenue, gambling expansion represents a dangerous step toward greater government dependence on predatory practices and contributes to the erosion of individual and community well-being.
Expanding legalized gambling fuels the growth of government programs that rely on the exploitation of vulnerable citizens—particularly the poor, the elderly, and those struggling with addiction. Rather than promoting economic opportunity, it encourages a system where the government profits from personal loss and desperation.

Accountability and transparency are the cornerstones of a free and functioning democracy. In state government, these principles are not optional—they are essential to earning and keeping the trust of the people we serve.
Citizens have the right to know how their tax dollars are being spent, how decisions are being made, and who is influencing those decisions. When government operates in the open, it is more honest, more efficient, and more responsive to the needs of the public.

Growth is inevitable—but how we grow determines who benefits and what kind of community we become. I believe in responsible growth that respects our values, protects our resources, and preserves the character of our communities.
Responsible development means more than new buildings and bigger tax bases. It means making thoughtful, forward-looking decisions that balance economic opportunity with quality of life. Growth done the right way strengthens neighborhoods, supports local businesses, protects our land, and ensures that families can thrive—not just today, but for generations to come.

Safe communities don’t happen by accident—they are built by the courage, commitment, and sacrifice of our first responders. I will stand firmly with the men and women who protect and serve: our law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, and emergency personnel.
I believe that protecting our communities starts with supporting those who protect us.
We cannot take public safety for granted. It must be a priority—not just in words, but in policy and funding. Standing with our first responders is not a political position—it’s a moral obligation to ensure that every family, every neighborhood, and every citizen can live without fear.

Being conservative means valuing tradition, personal responsibility, and limited government. It means believing in the importance of strong families, free markets, individual liberty, and the rule of law.
I am committed to protecting the dignity and sanctity of every human life, from conception to natural death. Being pro-life is a core belief that guides our efforts to defend the most vulnerable and uphold the fundamental right to life.
I believe every family has the right to guide their children’s education and upbringing according to their values and beliefs. I am committed to protecting children from ideological indoctrination in schools and other institutions—especially on sensitive topics such as gender and sexuality.
